1) Rat Race Chior - the guitar player, Bob Mayo went on to play guitar/keyboards with Peter Frampton and played on Frampton's mega-seller album "Frampton Comes Alive." Bob recently passed away.

2) The Good Rats - put out 4 albums and had a fairly successful hit with "City Liners"; a song about riding the subway from the Bronx down into Manhattan. They're now based out of Long Island.

I really enjoyed listening to Bob Mayo and saw him 2 years ago here in Red Bank, NJ. Does Bob originally come from the Bronx, and if does where?

Rat Race Choir - wow, a blast from the past. Paul Magnan was the bass player. We went to Mt. St. Michael together then Fordham Prep. His band played at our "mixers"...remember "mixers"? Last I saw Paul he had taken over the family business in Westchester....a good guy for sure.

great music, great bands, great places to go for a listen. We used to go up to New Rochelle towards the end of the 70's for good music. The Rising Sun. Used to go to listen to Crosswinds. Crystal Ship, etc.
