Carlo Mastrangelo of The Belmonts is 71 today, together with Angelo D'Aleo, Fred Milano and Dion they formed Dion and the Belmonts. There first hit in 1958 "I Wonder Why" was a smash hit. In 1960 Dion left the group and was a solo hit.

Little known fact: Carlo did a Ernie Maresca song "Brenda the Pretender" it was written by Maresca before he penned "Donna the Prima Donna" they never released it. Carlo now lives in Florida, as does Ernie, Dion.

The current lineup of The Belmonts are: Dan Elliot, Fred Milano, Warren Buddus and Frank Diligis, they still tour about 80 days a year.
