Be My Baby, it was "our" song, 1963 it had just come out by Ronnie Spector and the Ronnettes. Everytime I hear that song, I think of my Angel and the good times we had back then, the words were sooo true, she even recorded it for me, which I still have hanging on the wall in my home.
My Angel had many songs that she liked for one reason or another, To The Aisle by the 5 Satins was the song that Johnny Gorman sang to her and I know everytime she heard it she got this look on her face. Then when she was with her last boyfriend she had several that she loved, I Love How You Love Me, The Paris Sisters, To Know Him Is To Love Him, Phil Spectors TeddyBears and her athem song at all her concerts Just One Look by Doris Troy. Music is a powerful thing, you hear a song and it brings bad either good or bad memories, or memories of a place/time and just maybe someone special you were with at that time, and the song might bring a smile or a tear to your face. So what is your favorite song, does it bring back a happy memory? Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss, and ends with a teardrop....... |

I was already married to husband #1 when Gee Whiz by Carla Thomas came out, it said alot to me about him. Then there was Don't Bet Money Honey by Linda Scott and Take Good Care of My Baby by Bobby Vee, of course, this was when we were madly in love, and I thought he was the greatest guy in the world. How soon we find out what a person is like when we live with them.
Today when I hear these songs, I just shake my head and am glad I am no longer involved with him. He's been a headache to two other women since our breakup. |

Two songs from 1956 always stayed on my mind. One of them I am using in a autobiography of six years of my life. 'I almost lost my mind' That really happened. And 'The wayward wind' which is what became of me after the first incident.

There are soooo many songs that are great, but I was introduced to the early 50's rock n roll by my older sister, and I would have to say I think The Chantels would be the group that I loved the best, Maybe is the #1 of all time, plus anything else they sang. And I liked the Teen Queens, Eddie, My Love was a good one. I still have all my sisters 45's, some are classics, held on to the records, but dumped the husbands long time ago.

Listening to Youtube today, sooo many great songs from the 60's......I was just listening to The Duprees......
Yes, its you, yes its you and I will always love you so if you want.wannnnt me take me as I am. Here I stand just a plain and simple Joe, I'm not perfect nor do I claim to be so. So if you want wannnntt me, take me as I am, I'm not a genius, nor do I want to be I'm not perfect as you can plainly see, So if you want, wannnnt me take me as I am. I know just how to treat you and make you love me strong, I never loved anyone else and you taught me right from wrong. So if you want wannnt me, take me as I am......You take me, take me as I am. My Angel had special songs that she loved, they had some special meaning to her, I think I know who these songs are all for, but I know they're not about me. I wonder if when these songs are played, if someone gets teary eyed or just goes about their day. I went down her list of special songs and found all of them on Youtube all by the original artists, sitting here listening all the songs were saying something about someone, may she rest in peace. Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss, and ends with a teardrop....... |

Hey Jose, you know who those love songs were for don't ya, I can't believe she let herself get involved with that NJ internet loser. I mean she didn't bother with anyone for all those years then along comes this sweet talking idiot and she fells all to pieces, she fells for it hook line and sinker, he fed her bull s h i t she could spot a fraud a mile away, yet this clown really was good, I heard he tried it with a couple of other women and they told him to get lost. I wonder if his wife had a clue or what, I seriously doubt if he would have ever left his family, this was his fantasy, playing the romeo during the day, getting all the attention he could get while on the computer. What a loser. Jose, at least your feelings were genuine and she knew it, you were all she had and I'm sure that everything you did she knew was done with love. More than we can say for NJ loser.
